Mr. Sandeep Saxena: Founder
of SUN, is an entrepreneur and since 1974 he and his family are now involved
in the fabrication of automobile bodies, and sheet metal items for the
telecommunication and power sectors. He has great interest in development of
low cost technologies for the poor in the fields of agriculture, alternative
energy and link them with self-employment |

Mrs. Aparna Saxena:
Deputy Secretary of SUN, is spokesperson of SUN and
handles activities in the absence of Sandeep. She has voluntarily worked in
the slums of Mumbai. She worked hard and
has silently expanded horizons for SUN which is now active in a number of
fields creating a focus upon income generation for the poor and educational
programs associated with health and employment. |

Mrs. Ranjana Kumar:
Treasurer is
an educationist now involved voluntarily in informal education for women,
children and adolescent girls.

Emeritus
is an horticulturist. He was honored by
ICAR
in 1995. He is Retd. Head of Horticulture, Allahabad Agriculture Institute
Deemed University, Naini. He is the proud author of many text books at
Graduate and Post graduate level. He is also one of the founder members of
SUN. |

Mr. Haridas P.,is
the newest member of SUN. He is
working as Scientist at Research &
Development Department of Tata Tea Ltd., Munnar, Kerala since 1984. He
played a lead role in establishing R&D Centre of Tata Tea at Munnar. At
present he is Head of R&D, KDHP Co. (P) Ltd. Prior to joining Tata Tea he
worked at UPASI Scientific Department from 1969 to 1983 first as Assistant
Botanist and later as Advisory Officer. He was responsible for introducing
Vetiver in tea plantations in South India for soil and moisture
conservation. Implementation of Vetiver System in all estates of Tata Tea
is one of his important contributions. Based on his work in environmental
protection in Tea plantations, TVN (The Vetiver Network), USA awarded
certificate of excellence to him in 2005. Among 14 recipients of this
certificate Mr. Haridas was first to receive from India
